This week we had way more leafy greens than we could shake a stick at. Two massive bunches of Kale, 4 bunches of bok choy, and a huge wad of carrot tops. After a few days these beautiful greens were destined for wilting in the fridge. The solution? Green Ice! Wash your greens well, then blend them up with purified water in your blender. Start with a little bit of water and add more only as needed. You'll end up with a rich, vivid green slushy! The chlorophyll tint of the water is insanely beautiful.
Pour into ice cube trays, or silicon muffin trays, and chuck into your smoothies as needed! They are SO dense with greens, just one 'muffin' size per person is equivalent to heaps and heaps of greens. GENIUS! |
