These, the best kale chips ever, are so easy to make you'll be saying "is that it?" before you even get started. Kale Chips are fantastic to have on hand when you are craving a salty snack, and they are a brilliant way to eat kale if you are not normally a fan. I admit it, sometimes it can be pretty intense. You'll need
1 head organic curly kale 1 tbsp olive oil 2 teaspoons tamari 1 tbsp sesame seeds Method Preheat the oven to 170 degrees. Start with DRY kale. Washing your veg is usually a good idea, but in this case, wet kale will mess up your crunch. Either wash and dry thoroughly in a salad spinner, or be lazy like me and opt for an organic kale you can use straight from the bag. Chop your kale into chip-sized pieces. Place in a bowl and rub with the olive oil and tamari. Arrange on a baking tray and sprinkle over sesame seeds. Place in the oven for 10-15 mins, until the edges are slightly browned but not burnt. They will crisp up a little more as they cool down. If using a dehydrator, it'll take about 2 hours, follow the instructions as all brands are different :) |
